Screens
"Screens Are a Nightmare to Keep Clean" — What's True and What's Not
You will hear it from a neighbor before you hear it from us: screen enclosures are a nightmare to keep clean. It is not made up. So here is what it actually takes, before you spend anything on a pool cage or a lanai screen.
What Is True
Pollen sticks to screen. In spring it turns the panels yellow-green, and it needs washing down once or twice a year to look right.
What Is Exaggerated
It is a hose and a soft brush, not a project. Most people do it the same weekend they do the driveway.
What Nobody Mentions
A tear does not mean replacing the enclosure. Panels rescreen individually. We will tell you when that is the answer instead of selling you a new cage.
On Whether It "Pays For Itself" When You Sell
We are not going to promise you that. Buy a screen enclosure because it gives you back the months of the year when the patio is unusable. If that is not worth it to you, do not buy it.
We look at it, tell you what it needs, and give you the number in writing. Free estimates across Polk, Osceola, Orange, Lake and Marion County.
